SHTOK. supported the transnational movement World Skills: together with active partners of the electrotechnical platform ceshka.ru we took part in the preliminary phase of the regional round of the professional skill competition of Udmurt Republic.

World Skills is a transnational non-profit movement, the aim of which is to raise the image of blue-collar jobs. The preliminary round was held at the premises of the autonomous training educational institution of Udmurt Republic “Civil Engineering College”. In the shortlisting of city presentation of the regional round World Skills Russia 73 participants of 9 professional fields part, including young experts of electrical installation.

The tasks for the competitors were made by professional electrical installation experts, partners of electrotechnical platform ceshka.ru. «Everyone was very responsive to help the young guys in learning our important profession” – says Sergey Panagushin, an electrical installer, a former student of Civil Engineering College, “preparing theoretical questions and practical tasks, we relied on tasks which were commonly met in the work of installers, electricians and electric fitters”.

The competition program of electrical installers consisted of two parts: the theoretical part of 10 questions and the practical task of setting-up of the connection of two-button switch. “We purposefully made a wrong wiring” – says Sergey Panagushin, “the competitors had to find the error and to set up the wiring in time. We are very glad that the next generation of electrical installers coped with the task – nobody fell for our trick”.
“We were gratefully surprised that traditions of popularization of blue-collar professions are regenerating” – Roman Zadorozhniy shares his impressions with us, the sales director of SHTOK., “excellent education base, good equipping, professional teaching team. During their study period young experts already know that in future they will become sought-after specialists and real professionals. So let them work with professional tools from the beginning – with electrical installation tools of SHTOK.”.

The competition program provided 12 medal places in total: 3 medal places in the “Electrical installation” category and 9 medal places for winners of other blue-collar professions. All the winners got sets of electrical installation tools and tools of SHTOK. The winner of the electrical installation field got a multi-purpose bag for carrying and storage of SHTOK. tools. All the winners were also awarded by honorary certificates. After the competition was over all participants, the award panel and guests of the preliminary competition could enjoy a gala concert.

“We will continue to support competitions of professional skills” – Roman Zadorozhniy shares his plans with us, “To fulfill electrical installation tasks to an accomplished standard is only possible with the help of professional tools and accessories. Considering the quality of installation, the orientation to specificity of tasks and, of course, the cost, the SHTOK. tool is the only right choice of professional electrical installers…”.
